Christmas Time!

Hi,
Sorry I've not done a post recently, it has been nearly a month! As most of you know my mother suffered a heart attack which struck terror into everyone involved so I've been spending my time looking after her! A post on life after a heart attack will be coming soon, hopefully it helps!
On a brighter note, did everyone have a good Christmas? Mine was brilliant and in this post I'll be updating you on all the lovely gifts I received!
I'll be smelling nice all year with the amount of perfumes and smellies I got, I wonder if people are trying to tell me something? I got a Soap and Glory set, two bottles of Loverdose by Diesel, Black XS by Paco Rabanne and an Alien perfume set by the wonderful Thierry Mugler.
I'm going to get absolutely HUGE from eating all the chocolate I was kindly given! A White Chocolate box and a Mint Chocolate tray from Thorntons, Quality Street MatchMakers and a Cadbury Selection Box where included in my presents!
After watching The Real Housewives of Orange County, I fell in love with Gretchen Rossi's hair and after watching a tutorial online, I found she achieved her lush locks with heated rollers so I got them! They are the best I've ever used I'd recommend Enrapture rollers to anyone.
Finally, my favourite present was a gorgeous glittery Guess watch in rose gold. It looks amazing strapped to my wrist. I'm so lucky!

Glam Goth

Hi,

Winter is fast approaching, it's the first of December!
Here are my top three trends for this season of what designers are calling 'Glam Goth'.

· Studs - Studs can be worn in any which way you please, from a biker jacket to glam up a pretty dress to studs on the pockets of your jeans to draw attention to your best assets. I've gone for slipper studs. These shoes were from New Look priced at £17.99 and have been fantastic! I've worn them nearly every day for the past month and the studs have only just started to ping off. However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing as you can buy individual studs from almost every design house and stick them on yourself to make a fab new design!

· Crucifix - The sign of where Jesus Christ himself was killed and just like Jesus, the crucifix design has become part of my religion this season. This Venus knitted crucifix jumper was purchased from TK MAXX two weeks ago and has been a god send, it's so warm! The only downfall is that the studding could have been a different colour to stand out on the oatmeal background colour more.

· Black Leather - The most popular black leather piece I've seen in shops and on the general public are jackets. Don't get me wrong, they are practical and cosy but so last year! This year, I've opted for some leather look leggings from River Island. They can be dressed up or down, give them a go!

Pretty Simple Lemon Pancakes.

Hi,

First off, sorry for the lack of blogging. I've been going through a terrible time at the moment but I'm back on blogging form right now!
I've been promising readers an easy pancake recipe for weeks now so here it is!

You'll need: 70g of plain flour, 1 lemon, 1 egg, 100ml of milk & a blob of butter!

· Put the flour into a jug with a pinch of salt and 50ml of cold water and mix.

· Add egg and whisk together. Then slowly pour in the milk, stirring constantly.

· Slice a lemon in half and squeeze the juice of one half into the mixture.

· Place frying pan over a medium heat and add the blob of butter, letting it melt.

· Pour some mixture into the frying pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on both sides.

· When cooked, serve with a sprinkle of sugar and the juice from the other half of the lemon, ENJOY!

Glitter Heels - Good vs Bad.

Hi,

I've been invited to a lot of parties recently and as you all know, I LOVE GLITTER!
What better way to show up to a party in style than in gorgeous glittery shoes?
I bought two pairs, a gold and a silver and I'm here to review the good and the bad to you!

Let's get the bad out of the way. I couldn't find any silver heels in my size that I liked enough to buy in any shop so I decided to search online. I stumbled across seller Koi Couture and found a beautiful pair that was perfect for me!
When they arrived they were the perfect fit, size and heel height. I was delighted.

They even came with some Gel foot pads for sensitive soles.

However, as I took a closer look I noticed the heel wasn't quite right. It looks poorly fitted together and most importantly, there was no glitter on it!

Where was this glitter? In the box! Most of the glitter had fallen off the heels and into the shoe box they arrived in. They also shower everywhere you walk with glitter which is a disaster, especially for me who hates mess!

I won't be recommending this company to anyone that's for sure!

On the other hand, let’s finish on a better note. I bought a gorgeous gold pair from Next a day later and I cannot complain about anything.
They're a brilliant fit and the peep toe is very flattering!

What about the glitter? None of it falls off or covers your house in a sparkly dust. It also shines red, green and blue in the light so they are suitable to wear with anything.

I adore these shoes and will be definitely be buying shoes from Next again!

Multi Colour Sparkle Nails.

Hi,

This is a simple guide to achieving two fabulous looks this season, colour and glitter!

· After shaping, paint with a clear coat to stop the staining of the natural nails

· Paint each nail one at a time in a different colour, which ever shades and patterns suit your style!

      · Everyone knows I love a bit of glitter, who doesn't? So once nails are dry, apply a sweep of glitter across the nails

· Finally, add another layer of clear on top to stop chipping and to ensure they look super shiny!

Clinique Review.

Hi,

For the past two weeks I have been following the Clinique skin care routine. It's really worked! I'm about to share with you the strengths and weaknesses of this regime and then you can judge whether it will work for you. I hope this helps!
First off, washing your face is essential for good skin. Squeeze a drop of Clinique Facial Soap onto an exfoliation pad and rub on wet skin. Then rinse off with water. How simple! The soap smells really nice, almost good enough to eat and really cleans up skin well.

The cleanser needs to be used next, pour a drop onto a cotton pad and rub on the skins surface in circles. The cleanser stings if you have cuts or spots and isn't gentle around the eyes so avoid them at all costs. However, it does remove left over makeup and dirt.

The lotion cools the skin after cleansing, smells lovely and keeps skin silky smooth. It's really refreshing!

Finally, the body butter works a treat. It is my favourite out of them all! It again, smells divine and it is fabulous to use before tanning to stop streaks and clumps!

Simple Homemade Face Mask.

Hi,

I've tried this face mask a few times now and it has worked a treat so I've decided to share one of my top beauty secrets with you!
This face mask cleanses and rejuvenates the skin and uses sugar instead of salt as the sugar isn't as harsh but still does the same job of exfoliating the dead skin from the face.

You'll need:
- 1 tsp of oats
- 2 tsp of Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 3 tsp of warm water
- A squeeze of honey

· Pour oats and sugar into a bowl, one at a time.

· Add the yogurt and honey into the mixture to bind together.

· Then mix in the warm water to lighten the face mask.

· Whisk together and smooth evenly across the face. Leave for 10 minutes!

After your face will feel fresh and clean! You'll feel more relaxed if you lay out with cucumber placed over your eyes but if you're on the go (like me usually) then it's optional of course! Your face will smell pretty sweet after too!
