Student Cookbook - Simple Pasta and Tomatos

Hi,

For Christmas I received a little helpful book from my lovely grandfather to help me learn to cook.
Tonight, for the first time, I've used it and I'm here to share my meal with you!
I started off simple as that's usually the best way so here goes...

These are the things you'll need:
Pasta, Cherry Tomatos, 1/4 of an onion, garlic infused oil, cream cheese and salt & pepper!

Boil your pasta for around 10 minutes.

Into a large pan, add a splash of garlic oil and then the chopped onion and tomatos. Stir well and don't leave unattended. Take off the heat after around 3 minutes.

Finally, mix cream cheese into drained pasta and then stir in the onion and tomato mixture. Healthy and yummy in your tummy.

VoilĂ !

Umberto Giannini Hair Mask Review

Hi,

Since bleaching my hair from brown to blonde, then returning back to black, it is safe to say my hair is a state. My hairdresser recommended Umberto Giannini hair products so I went out and bought the hair mask for dead hair to start with. I'm going to review this product now for all you out there who may want to try it!

The main pro of the product is the smell. It smells delicious, almost good enough to eat! The mask also claims to only use shea butter and florentine orris milk for all natural goodness and no damage to already battered hair. The price is also affordable at around £6! Although the product did work for me there was a big downside I didn't like.

The disadvantage of this product I found was that the mask is very thick and creamy. This weighed my hair down and left it slightly greasy no matter how thoroughly washed out.

Overall, the product is affordable and is a quick fix but left the result was unattractive.

Otoplasty Update

Hi,

As many of you know, I've been in the hospital over the past week. I have been in a lot of pain and I am still very sore.
I've had a proceedure called an otoplasty, more commonly known as pinoplasty or having the ears pinned back.
It is something I have always wanted to do as I have not liked my ears for many years now.
They are still pretty swollen, numb and bloody.
Here are some before and after pictures for you to take a glipse at. I think it was worth it, do you?
Let me know what you think!

Cheap and Cheerful

Hi,

After Christmas money is tight and we all know that much loved retail therapy has to be put on hold. However, here are my three top cheap but cheerful buys for the new year!
Facemask - 99p from H&M
This facemask is fun, fruity and simply fabaulous. It really works making the skin smooth and less dry. It's great for the price and really does the job!

W7 nail varnish £2 from Bodycare
This rip off of No.7 looks cheap and nasty. However, the colour is bright and only requires one coat. A top coat is recommended though as it chips off easily.

Hairspray 69p from Tesco
I'd only suggest the use of this supermarket saver for one night, a night out maybe. If used everyday hair becomes luggy and dry which needs a wash to get out. Does the job though, a really strong hold!

Life After A Heart Attack

Hi,
As many of you know my lovely mummy recently suffered from a minor heart attack just before Christmas. It was a horrible shock for everyone involved and I'd hate to see it happen to even my worst enemy. In this post I'll be providing you all with some top tips on how to cope if you or someone you know suffers this disease.
Keep active
Exercise on a regular basis but don't overdo it!
Smoking
One word, stop.
Diet
Obvious but a big factor, if you're over weight, lose it!
Relax
Relaxation is key to being stress free

Take a few of these...

Light a couple of these...

Get enough sleep!

Christmas Time!

Hi,
Sorry I've not done a post recently, it has been nearly a month! As most of you know my mother suffered a heart attack which struck terror into everyone involved so I've been spending my time looking after her! A post on life after a heart attack will be coming soon, hopefully it helps!
On a brighter note, did everyone have a good Christmas? Mine was brilliant and in this post I'll be updating you on all the lovely gifts I received!
I'll be smelling nice all year with the amount of perfumes and smellies I got, I wonder if people are trying to tell me something? I got a Soap and Glory set, two bottles of Loverdose by Diesel, Black XS by Paco Rabanne and an Alien perfume set by the wonderful Thierry Mugler.
I'm going to get absolutely HUGE from eating all the chocolate I was kindly given! A White Chocolate box and a Mint Chocolate tray from Thorntons, Quality Street MatchMakers and a Cadbury Selection Box where included in my presents!
After watching The Real Housewives of Orange County, I fell in love with Gretchen Rossi's hair and after watching a tutorial online, I found she achieved her lush locks with heated rollers so I got them! They are the best I've ever used I'd recommend Enrapture rollers to anyone.
Finally, my favourite present was a gorgeous glittery Guess watch in rose gold. It looks amazing strapped to my wrist. I'm so lucky!

Glam Goth

Hi,

Winter is fast approaching, it's the first of December!
Here are my top three trends for this season of what designers are calling 'Glam Goth'.

· Studs - Studs can be worn in any which way you please, from a biker jacket to glam up a pretty dress to studs on the pockets of your jeans to draw attention to your best assets. I've gone for slipper studs. These shoes were from New Look priced at £17.99 and have been fantastic! I've worn them nearly every day for the past month and the studs have only just started to ping off. However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing as you can buy individual studs from almost every design house and stick them on yourself to make a fab new design!

· Crucifix - The sign of where Jesus Christ himself was killed and just like Jesus, the crucifix design has become part of my religion this season. This Venus knitted crucifix jumper was purchased from TK MAXX two weeks ago and has been a god send, it's so warm! The only downfall is that the studding could have been a different colour to stand out on the oatmeal background colour more.

· Black Leather - The most popular black leather piece I've seen in shops and on the general public are jackets. Don't get me wrong, they are practical and cosy but so last year! This year, I've opted for some leather look leggings from River Island. They can be dressed up or down, give them a go!
